Call Embrace Funerals any time (24/7): Day or night, one of our caring team members is available to help you. You’re always welcome to call us on (08) 7221 2633 to arrange a direct cremation, or simply to ask any questions you may have.
We’ll bring your loved one into our care: We will arrange to bring your loved one into our care, whether they have passed at home, in a nursing home or somewhere else. From here, we will call you to arrange the next steps.
Our team will handle all the moving parts: From the paperwork, permits and medical certificates, to organising the cremation itself - all of the complexities are taken care of by our dedicated team.
Your loved one’s ashes are prepared, ready to take home: We will call you once your loved one’s ashes are ready for collection. You’ll receive the ashes in a standard cemetery urn, ready to memorialise or take home. If you’d like to discuss a different urn to honour your loved one, we can help you with this as well.

Yes, you're always welcome to visit us in person, and one of our caring funeral directors will guide you through everything over a tea or coffee. Unlike many of the larger national brands (who often arrange everything by phone) we're a local team you can meet and speak with.

A standard cemetery urn is included as part of all Direct Cremation services. If you'd like something more personal, we have a wide range of urns available to purchase however this is not required - just an option, if it feels right for you.

Typically, ashes are ready for collection within 5 business days.
Depending on your preference or location, you're welcome to collect the ashes from Embrace Funerals directly, or from Enfield Memorial Park (where the cremation takes place) - whichever is easier for you.

A few extra details worth knowing, depending on your circumstances.
Transfer distance
Transfers beyond 60km of the Adelaide CBD may incur additional staff and travel fees.
Coffin size
Coffins exceeding standard requirements (over 6ft or 100kg) may require a custom solution, with pricing available on request.
Medical certificates
A doctor's fee of $395 may apply where a medical certificate is required outside a public hospital or coroner's involvement, including for in-home or nursing home occurrences.

Legal identification
Mortuary preparation isn't included for the purpose of legal identification. This is available at an additional cost for private family viewings.
Formal last rites
A 20-minute farewell ceremony including your loved one's last rites for the committal, hosted by one of our experienced celebrants - $250.
Extra attendees
The Direct Cremation + Family Gathering package includes up to 15 guests. Additional attendees can be arranged at $195 per extra 10 people.
Professional video tribute
A beautiful photo tribute for your guests, set to your favourite songs, with up to 40 photos included (further photos can be added) - $245.
Memorial cards
A lasting keepsake for your guests to take home, created to reflect your loved one - $2.50 each + a $90 set-up cost.
